Thank You, Beecher Bunny

Look what came in the mail for Charlotte and Elijah. Aunt Laura is too clever. I'm a bit surprised the U.S. Post Office will accept eggs as envelopes. But here's proof.

I can't believe Easter is next week already. We have no plans. Every branch of my family has some big to-do or major stress they are dealing with right now. No one is really free to host. It might fall to me, as my design load does not warrant the same reverence as some of the others' stressors.

We could probably handle a backyard BBQ. How to make it Eastery though? Hm.

Anyhoo. There's still time to mail out easter eggs filled with candy, making nieces and nephews very happy. Send earrings for a sister or ribbons for a friend's ponytail. They may cost a little more to ship than envelopes, but the added delight is worth the added pennies. Such a fun surprise!

  1. ♥ I never would’ve expected…I hope the people at my post office will be so kind as to allow it, too. I would be delighted to get an egg in the mail!

  2. Love it, Crystal! And glad to see that your Post Office didn’t oppose. I’d love to hear if they all make it to their destinations. Time to brainstorm what surprises might fit inside.

  3. I work for the post office and have a customer that every Halloween puts creepy Halloween candy (eyeballs and such) into plastic see through jars with screw-on lids and mails them. You can mail just about anything if there is a place to put Beecher or any other postage. I do love the Easter egg idea!

  4. When my nieces were growing up, I’d send them things in a plastic soda bottle, such as pencils, erasers, small things, with sequins, buttons, etc. They loved it. Never thought of sending the plastic eggs.

  5. I love that kind of mail. It’s so cool. There’s a blog where the lady has a series called 13 ounces where she takes pictures of things she mails – all under 13 ounces. It’s so cool to see what people come up with.

  6. Such a cute idea! Don’t stress about Easter dinner. Do something fun and as stress-free as possible. Family always understands (get one of those big, already done meals at Fresh and Easy!).

  7. One time my friend mailed me a banana. Like a real, fresh, banana with my address written on the side and some stamps on the peel. It got picked up, but ended up getting returned to him a few days later looking a bit beat up. So random. This egg idea is clearly a more sturdy option!

  8. Very fun mail idea! We are new bloggers (mother daughter duo) and really enjoy seeing all of the fun ways that people are decorating with Eggs. Beautiful blog with vivid colours. Just lovely 🙂
