It was a happy hunt: Laffy Taffy, Starbursts, and Twizzlers a-plenty. It's a chocolate-free tradition—the melting hazard is too high. Thank goodness too, or I might snatch some of Charlotte's spoils. I can resist the rest.
Not that there has been a dearth of chocolate around here.
Despite my belly-aching, we had a great weekend. To switch gears from working to family time, I went on a short run Saturday morning. I returned ready to pause my projects and enjoy the moment.

Chocolates and Easters in the Southwest… I have some funny-tragic memories! Good you all have that under control. Happy Easter, Heather.
omg so much plastic… the pictures are great though.
This tradition has been going for about 8 years now. The eggs are re-used each year. My friend keeps them all in several large boxes.
I love the picture, she is so engrosed with each treasure. It is impossible to get your fill of someone as fanciful as Charlotte from long distance. Good idea to recycle the eggs. Me, I still love the egg salad sandwiches after the boiling and the dying. Pastel egg salad. Huggs and kisses all around Grazy Grandma
“omg so much plastic… ” They collect and reuse the eggs each year. Thanks to the person who store the bins in their garage.
My issue is how much candy my kids get! Charlotte gets a giant bag of candy about once a month for something or other. We let her have a few pieces a day for a week or so and then we disappear it. I don’t remember so much candy when I was a kid.

Re usable plastic eggs, what a great idea. I must look out for some of them myself.
What a great idea painting plastic eggs and then re-using them. I now have a new project in mind for next year with my grand kids.
