I "made an appearance" at the Quilters Guild show across town and indulged in some wooly stuff. I love the way that wool dyes up, bright and rich and hard-to-resist.
Elinor‘s in town this weekend — her first trip since she broke her ankle. We figured out our wheelchair routine at yesterday’s show. You should have seen our performance in the cafeteria — like a choreographed dance. Carefully carrying lunch and drinks for the two of us, we made it through the crowds, past the register and to the table without one spill.
We were there to help out some good friends from The Bernina Connection (who just started their online store — wink wink). One tour around the show and we returned to their booth with bags of wool goodies to divide up between us. It’s true — we like the same sorts of things — mostly.

i love the colors in these photos! the yarn looks absolutely delicious.
i just finished needle felting a WIP i started last spring! i hoped on bloglines before heading to bed …and looky looky! it’s more yummy wool! love the pics!
Good to catch up with you at the show. Good luck with your many projects in the works…Hope to see you at Market in SLC. Thanks for the good conversation and inspiration.
i want to be you. 🙂 such colour in your life!
I spent the weekend with a few yards of your amazing fabric. A dress was completed and a little top is on my schedule for today. It really is so beautiful.
the colours are gorgeous!
Very pretty, and I love those spools you created. My mom was in a wheelchair for awhile recently and it really made me realize how inaccessible lots of places are. I don’t think our in + out of the car moves were very graceful!
Ooh. Those gorgeous wool strips are making me want to drag out my rug-hooking supplies! So pretty!
i want to eat your blog…the colors stimulate some area of my pregnant brain associated with good food, good things, etc. i click back to your blog just to get a fix. kinda’ weird but i thought i would share. also, your husband takes stunning photos. very nice.
wow-you have such a talented family-do you all give homeade gifts for chirstmas?
Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Goosebumps! Those beautiful wool strips! I recently started rug hooking (at a sewing retreat), and I love it! Please forgive me for envying your wool purchases! DROOL!
