Are you a fan of The Princess Bride? Yes? Then, go see Stardust.
The trailer doesn’t do it justice. Laura, Isaac & I guffawed
through the whole thing while the baby slept in his stroller, good
boy. Oh, and he’s so cute!!! Truly cute.
Today’s a fun day. Laura’s painting me a poppy for my birthday and
I’m making paper things — though I haven’t decided what. We just
might have to do some shopping too.

Thanks for the Stardust heads-up. The Princess Bride is my favorite-favorite!
I was unsure when I saw the Stardust ads, but I saw a clip with Robert De Niro and the original Office guy doing some negotiating. It was really funny!
i did some anthropologie shopping myself yesterday. omg. that store! l.o.v.e.
ooh love the link to anthropologie – will have to see if they deliver to the UK!!
hi! just wanted to say “happy birthday!” i can’t believe it’s been over a year that i first started reading your blog! i don’t think i’ve commented here before although i always read your blog. last year’s post on your birthday was fun to read with all the jokes people sent in. i’m not good at jokes, so unfortunately i don’t have one for you today. but, i hope you have another wonderful day full of laughter and another year full of creative accomplishments!
OK, I was just getting ready to do some Princess Bride blogging. I love that movie-Dustin and I met because we were cast as Miracle Max and Valerie in a play.
🙂

Oh oh oh how I LOVE Princess Bride! Now I’m really looking forward to seeing Stardust 🙂
What a good baby (mine didn’t make it through Ratatouille but we tried)! Thanks for the movie recommend, sounds like fun (but not as fun as a trip to anthropologie!).
You are so lucky to get a poppy. I truly love Laura’s paintings. One of these days I am going to have one too.
I haven’t even heard of Stardust, but Princess Bride is a family favorite. We’ll be sure to put this one on our must-see list!
We saw Stardust on Friday – GREAT MOVIE! I’m a bit biased because I love Neil Gaiman’s work, but the movie was excellent – the best thing I’ve seen all year.
It looks great – thanks for the tip!
Ive never seen the princess bride, apparently Im missing out!
How much longer until we see Trash Ties? I think all of us in blogland are waiting.
i haven’t seen princess bride, but the michele pfeifer movie looks FANTASTIC!
Happy, happy day to you!
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday?! August 11th was my daughters first birthday!
I agree about Stardust being like Princess Bride. My husband explains it as a mix between Princess Bride and the magic of Narnia. Such a great movie. Def. going on my ‘to buy’ list.
Happy Birthday!
I can’t wait till it comes out on DVD, it won’t be on the screen here I asked. Every time I see a preview my excitement builds.
Hi Heather,
First thing, happy birthday.
Secon thing, where did you get those adorable tins for your christmas package that you posted on flickr.

Oh I really want to go and see it! Now even more than before 😀
So funny to read this today. My husband and I just bought The Princess Bride on DVD. INCONCEIVABLE!!! Never would have even thought to watch Stardust, but now I must.
to:”My husband explains it as a mix between Princess Bride and the magic of Narnia.”
I’ve got to agree. 🙂 Very epic, and fun.
The Princess Bride was actually my first movie in theatres! I was less than 1 years old when my parents brought me. I didn’t find that out though, of course, until I was already a huge fan of the movie.
