Sketchy

I'm in the thick of designing new prints. The one I'm working on right now will probably take me all week—at minimum. This pushes me awfully close to my target date, but the print is gorgeous, so I'm taking the gamble.

The other designs are close. I can see the light. As long as I work through the dark, right?

In other news, we survived Spring Break. I look forward to having the kids around. But wow, this week, I'm more ready than ever for them to head back to school. A snippet of quiet, a splinter, a shard, a crumb, would be oh so lovely. Tomorrow is the day.

  1. I just can’t wait to see what’s next from you! Doing a happy dance! On another note, where can I get a pencil like that? I love the sharp point on that thing and I have an obsession with writing utensils!

  2. Hang in there. All the pressure is going to produce a great collection.
Hoping you get a few moments to sit back and enjoy this part of the process.

  3. OH.MY.GOSH…I am LOVING what I am seeing! 🙂 Seriously, IF I could do a back flip right now, I would (and I’d also probably break my back), but I’m just that excited to see that there is new HB fabric coming in the near future!!! And of course, I love what little bit I can see there!!! Yippee!!! Keep up the AWESOME job!

(Go, Fight, Win) ((Okay, I’m done being a dork…for the moment!)) YAY!

  4. Look what those lovely hands can do. As for the quiet, well I have more than I need now. But thanks to you I am reminded that I wished for it when it wasn’t there. Mom B

  5. STAEDTLER Mars lead holder! Or similar. Any art store, and get a special sharpener for the lead too. Heather do you use B or H leads? Beautiful drawings.

  6. Fascinating to see your process, thanks for sharing. I’m just wondering if you do your own computer drafting or turn it over as pencil proofs? I love mechanical pencils, though use a finer lead, and I like softer leads for ease of rubbing out, shows how individual we all are.
