Ms. Mimi’s Roses

Rosebearhb
Roseblankiehb One more doll blanket and then we’ll have ourselves a breather.  Mimi told me her favorite colors were red and yellow and green and white.

I’m still sewing.  I stayed up way too late last night watching that new Shear Genius show while I did some hand- stitching on a fun little green and orange shirt. Now I’m too tired to decide what to do with myself.  I have four projects in the works that are each 90% finished.  I won’t let myself start a new one until one of those is done, but I’m not in the groove.

I think I’ll go take a early evening shower and try to wake up.  Maybe I’ll do my hair and try to feel civilized.  That usually does the trick.

  1. I just LOVE your blog & seeing your work….you’re one talented girl!! I’ve been watching Shear Genius too and really enjoy it.

  2. Imagine my delight, after discovering your enchanting flickr account, I somehow stumble into your oh so pretty and even more enchanting blog. It’s made my day, thank you!

  3. Heather,
These pretties are all soooo cute! Take a breather. I found myself wandering around the house today in sweats (uncombed hair) and not knowing where to clean up first….and what project to finish up, as well. Yesterday was super productive, so I guess we all can take a break now and again. Time for my beauty rest. 😉 Your dollie blankies are just breathtaking, girl!!!!

  4. All these tiny doll treasures are making me drool. I think I will have to update my daughters doll nursery with some handmade items, her poor dollies are sleeping in boxes with cut up bunny rugs and I think they deserve better.

  5. So far I have resisted the temptations of Shear Genius (I’m already hooked on “Work Out,” but it’s been tough. Love the flowers on the new mini!

  6. simply adorable! I love your designs. Wish I was talented in the sewing department… however, I did try your headband pattern you offer in your blog’s sidebar. Super cute! I have three daughters (17,12,9)and they are excited about wearing these to school. We’re going to shop for some fun fabric this weekend – maybe I’ll teach them how to make them themselves. Thanks for the inspiration!

  7. OH MY GOODNESS! The cuteness NEVER ends, Heather. This most recent dollie quilt is wonderful. Isn’t it great to do handwork AND watch/listen to a tv programme at the same time…two birds, one stone…lol

  8. Cute, cute, cute! I considered watching Shear Genius, but it’s on early out here and we’re trying to reduce our family TV watching time and actually t-a-l-k to each other, which is a whole new experience.
Good luck with finishing those projects.

  9. Oh Heather, these doll quilts you’ve been posting about are GORGEOUS! I love all of them! Please make a big-girl one for me! And please make it free. Haha, AND just kidding, thankfully! 😉

  10. What an adorable dollie blanket.
When I look at the picture of it not in the cradle I see a little girls dress. :o)
Hope you get your groove back real quick.

  11. Love the quilts! I don;t quilt, but Imight just have to attempt a few doll quilts. So cute!!
How is Shear Genius?? Tyson Daniels is my hair stylist, but I still haven’t watched the show!! LOL

  12. Heather, they just keep getting better and better! I have the perfect solution for those working woes! I can’t tell you but I would like to send you one. They work every-time.

  13. OOH-I love the little comfies! BUT-my comment is in regards to a previous one. I say you totally take Kim up on her offer to sew. I had the lucky experience of meeting her this weekend and she’s the cutest thing ever. SUCH a great sense of style!

  14. Oh Heather – the blankets are devine – I am in love with them – Amelia is starting to get into dolls at the moment and I have my old cradle for her that needs dressing – thanks for the inspriration

  15. So funny you mention doing your hair gets you up and about doing things. As a still fairly new mom, I’ve realized that the days I am able to motivate myself and feel productive are usually the days I get up dressed, hair done and a little makeup on – the earlier the better.
I’m new to the world of blogs and crafting and exploring the creative side and stumbled upon your blog tonight and I wanted to just let you know (even though you obviously get tons of comments) how amazing your stuff is.
Best wishes for your holiday weekend!
