March. I like March. I'm recovered from the holidays and from two January birthdays (Elijah and Charlotte). It's still early in the year for big plans and the Arizona weather is delightful. (I'm sorry this isn't the case for everyone.)
Despite the lovely Marchness all around me, I'm also facing some distinct challenges and some tough decisions this year. Instead of running from them any longer or glossing things over, I've decided to plow into these matters head-on. And though difficult and strange, it feels good. I'm a doer and it's time to "do."
However, I'm not up to sharing specifics yet, so here I am being vague—all for an excuse to express my gratitude to all of you who have supported me and my design business these many years. This is my song. Thank you for ooo-ing and ahh-ing when new collections are released. Thank you for encouraging your local shops to carry my fabrics and patterns. Thank you for purchasing embroidery patterns, sewing patterns, fabrics and more. Thanks for checking back in on my blog when posting has been sparse at times. I make a point to review every comment and every order that comes along. I see you. You keep my spirits and my family afloat and I value you greatly.
Don't get the idea that I'm going anywhere. In fact, I'm creating artwork for two future fabric collections at the moment and in discussions with new licensees for additional products.
I guess I'm just experiencing a rush of gratitude for all that is right and well in my world. Thank you for hearing my song and singing along. I'm glad to know you.

Thank you, Molly.
That is one seriously cute apron! Love it! I hope all those hard decisions are all for good! Whatever they are, good luck with them!
I know I sure do enjoy your fabrics! They are always so fresh and wonderful!
Happy spring to you!
Thank you, Sherrill. It’s hard to find a good balance between sharing and over-sharing. Perhaps I should just say thank you without all the vaguery. Without having posted in a while, I figured some explanation was appropriate. Thanks for your understanding.
Thank you, Sue. I sure love to create them.
Thanks for your designs thats amazing
Heather, I am sure that whatever direction you move yourself/family/business toward good things will come. You have vision, creativity and a work ethic like no other. Wishing you the very best as you make hard decisions!
(I realize this sounds like a goodbye- which it isn’t, just hoping to add encouragement and an uplift to your day)

Ha! Yes. I knew this post could come across the wrong way. I want to be authentic at all times. When you’re having a hard time, but can’t share details, that can be hard to do without sounding mysterious. xo—Heather
Thank you, Sangita. I appreciate you. xo—HB
Heather, your fabrics are crisp and new, and your artistic talent at combining them in your butterfly apron is refreshingly whimsical. Your family must love your cooking – but if you bomb a dinner, your apron will make them smile!
