Apron and kitchen towel artwork is shipped out. Now I'm in a holding pattern, waiting to finalize two design contracts. Each correlates to a collection due on or around August 1st—two projects I'm excited to work on.
On top of that, Isaac's mom is on her way here from Washington. And we're moving into the expanded design space this week as well. It's going to be a wild two weeks.

Good Luck!! ..oh and remember, take-out is your friend! 🙂
Always enjoy seeing what you are working on!
Best of luck with your new contracts, Heather. I’ve been following you for a while and really love your use of color in your designs. Light and color seem to drive all your work and it is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Well since your deadline is August 1st, you have to do a post about the horses’ birthday.. And if you were in Australia, it is also Wattle Day, our national flower.
Good luck, giddy-up H!

Good luck on your contracts and what a cool idea. Thanks for sharing. I guess your deadline is coming up here soon. august 1st isn’t far away.
Mark,
I had to read your comment a couple of times before investigating your reference to “the horse’s birthday.”
I thought I knew a thing or two about horses, but the standardization of horse’s birthdays in the northern and southern hemispheres is completely news to me — January 1st for the northern hemisphere and August 1st for the southern hemisphere. That’s good bit of trivia. Thanks, Mark.

I hope you will have a pattern for that beautiful dress you made with the Lindy leaf fabric. I covet it! I really wish I was able to make patterns myself but since I can’t I would be so so happy if you released that pattern!
Thanks Melissa! I would love to produce some clothing patterns. Having a new baby slowed things down for me for a little while. I’m caught back up on fabric design now. Catching up on patterns is next — after I find an awesome assistant to help me move everything along day-to-day. Thanks for your vote. I’ve made a note of it.

I’ve been keeping the crockpot employed. Today I made Minestrone soup to have on hand. Tomorrow I’m giving BBQ ribs a try — though more for my husband and his mom. I have a hard time figuring ribs out, myself. How do you find the meat when the whole saucy she-bang is covered with sauce? Or are you supposed to eat the other, non-meat parts? I don’t get it.

sounds like you’re going to be busy.but in a good way! can’t wait to see the reno ‘after’ pictures 🙂
and new patterns!
The collections due out Aug 1 – are those new fabric collections? Is that when they also ship to stores – or will it be an Oct market release? I’m wondering so maybe I can use some for my book! That would be so fun! I’ve already requested some new freshcut! So excited! I’ll share pics when I can! -kg
I can’t wait for the new designs! I just got a couple of 1950s dress patterns from eBay that I’m dying to test out!
If I ever run away from home, I’ll come be your assistant! 😀
Aínda que preferiría se vostede poñerse en un detalle pouco máis, eu aínda teño a esencia do que quería dicir. Concordo con el. Pode non ser unha idea popular, pero ten sentido. Definitivamente volver a máis deste. Traballo work.Good Grande, blog marabilloso … realmente apreciar-lo e engadiu que nos meus marcadores sociais. Manteña o bo traballo
