Felt-ertainment

My daughter Charlotte should write a book. I've never seen a more prolific eight-year-old. She is a craft-making machine.

Her favorite stuffed animal is an Airedale Terrier. So, this week,
she decided that all of her arts and crafts would be Airedale-Terrier
themed. Today, she is finishing up this incredible little felt pillow
and then I'm on board to teach her how to cross-stitch—another Airedale
Terrier.

If you follow my feed on Instagram, you'll know I'm trying to be more
organized about my kids' summers this year, and break the time up with a
number of planned projects and activities. We'll see how that goes.
But, as for the down time in between, I have to say that a big bin of
felt
, some thread and a needle sure come in handy.

  1. That is sweet… the skills, and the terrier.
Maybe I need to pick up some more of your felt…
my eight-year-old crafter has been felting wool,
both needle, and wet-felting. I think when I show
Maria the cute work Charlotte’s done, she’s going
    to want to play, too.

  2. This is adorable! My kids are prolific crafters and the end product generally gets secretly “lost”. Tell Charlotte, beautiful work!

  3. Hi Heather,
I have a Welsh Terrier and they look like a minture Airedale (or an airedale puppy and many people think he his). I am taking a trip overseas this summer and can’t take him with me but now that I see that cute felt Airedale Terrier your daughter made, I might have to make one and take it with me!
Thanks for sharing your talented daughters handywork!

  4. Planning activities for the summer is great, but I’m glad you still give them time to entertain themselves. Great work from your daughter.
