…How about mobile, Divco, ‘Supplies!
Parties’ — a park-n’-shop novelty for scrapbook nights, bridal
showers, baby showers, etc. I like it. Or I could have the cutest
camper/RV ever.
Lia made me these
wonderful presents for my birthday. They made their way safely here
all the way from Singapore. Thank you, Lia! Such a great surprise.
I particularly love the varied textures on the tag above. Lia used a couple of papers from my line. The ‘h‘ is decorated with one of my corner stamps, but it has a thick, clear coating over the top. I’m thinking she may have used Diamond Glaze. Have you ever tried Diamond Glaze? It’s fantastic. I use it when making painted necklace pendants. I don’t think I’ve shown you those.
Lia,
did you do the crackle finish on the tree trunk yourself as well?
Crackle finishing can be tough — good job. It really looks great.
And check out this fun, framed collage and birthday card. A lot of
scrappers cut shapes from papers and then use them as 3-D elements in
their projects — such a great way to achieve a layered effect. I made
a fun, little gift-box using this technique for my upcoming CK article. I’m excited to put together some variations in the next week or so and post a free pattern for it. More on that later.
Speaking of paper crafts, check out this Raggedy Ann masterpiece that Leslie
put together. I’m just ga-ga for it. I’ve always loved how well
cherry-red works with this icy, pastel palette. Leslie really picked
up on that and used it to maximum effect. (And check out these overalls too.)

Oh, now I need to hunt down the childhood photo of me gripping my
favorite Raggedy Ann doll. I believe my mom tried to take my doll away
from me for the portrait, but I would have none of that and must have
thrown a fit. In the end, my mom ended up with a photo of me greedily
clutching my doll — with tears welled up in my eyes — doubly not what
she had in mind. I was about one and a half.
Wandering.
I’m looking forward to next week. Lots of fun little design
projects to wrap up and some baby presents to make for friends. I was
going to embellish some onesies, but now I’m thinking Happy Stacker
ring toys with coordinating 3-D tags as cards – kinda like the top
photo. Might get out my Diamond Glaze even. Though I had draped Lia’s
tag there casually for a the photo… well, they just look so great
together. No need for wrapping paper.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned the new HB Paper Crafts Group on Flickr
yet, but it’s all set up and ready for you. (Erica just posted the cutest wooden dolls.) I’ve added the paper group to my
sidebar, along with the new Pop Garden & Bijoux Flickr Group for
those fabulous fabric projects of yours. Gah! Double gah! You guys are amazing. I love Flickr groups. Really
such an easy way to inspire and get inspired.

I haven’t used Diamond Glaze, but Diamond Dust is so fun to work with! I will have to see if I can find it local. Thanks for the tip!
Fantastic. Wow, are those tags beautiful! Thanks for the pics, and for the links to all the other projects. It’s all so inspiring.
I wonder if anyone has a good source for fancy-but-washable ribbons. I’d love to make the stackers but I haven’t found attractive embellished ribbons that can survive an urpy babyhood.
Great links, thanks!
Its fun to see what people come up with when they use your scrapbooking products. I loved the Raggedy Ann one, I never had one of those dolls, funny. People always assume that I make things out of the products I create, but sadly there never seems to be enough time in the day for it.
I dream of a vacation filled with fun crafting w/o interruptions, ahh someday!
What a beautiful birthday gift Lia made you! And I love the Happy Stacker – it is so gorgeous. My goodness girl, when do you sleep? 🙂
OOOh, paper crafts! Just what I need, another hobby.
So pretty though, such beautiful papers. This is the second time someone has mentioned how great diamond glaze is. Guess I’m going to have to check it out.
love the crackled tree trunk! thanks for the shout on my Raggedy Ann. the one i sent is different from the one posted. i traded out the greenish colored matt for red. ( i knew you’d like the red combo better…lol)
happy monday everyone~
leslie
this is sooooo beautifull!
I have a picture of my dd at 18 or so months clinging to a teddy bear at PicturePeople, eyes full of tears, and a pouty mouth. I remember being SO frustrated with her that day, I could barely get a foot away from her and she was reaching for me. We tried the teddy bear prop, I was able to duck out of the shot, and that was the only picture we got of her alone that day, but now it is one of my favorites of her!!

This is absolutely charming.
What sweet eye candy for a plain ol’ Monday afternoon! Great pretties to look through today.
Wow Heather! Thanks for the linkage! What fun! 😀
Got any ideas for cute Halloween crafts???
As always, everything you touch turns to gold! Funny that I too have been dreaming of a gorgeous vintage trailer to call my own. A little hideaway, decorated all girly and fun…. ahhhhhh, a girl can dream, can’t she?
Oh yes, the happy stacker is ADORABLE…. any new mom would love to open that!
I heart the raggedy ann book! I used to collect her when I was little and I still have my very first one, I think those pages are SUPER fantastic. Thanks for sharing the eye candy!!
xo~Amelia
Your site is always filled so many gorgeous things! I never know where to look first!!! 🙂
Beautiful eye candy! The tree bark technique is awesome, how clever! And of course, Happy Birthday! 🙂
Hiya Heather!
Glad the stuff got to you safe!! And I lovelovelove the pictures you took of them. I’m ashamed to show the pictures I took before sending them to you. hee!
Your question on the crackled tree: I painted the Maya Road chipboard with Tim Holtz’s Distress Crackle Paint. The paint is from Ranger, and super easy to use. Just apply and it’ll crackle as it dries. 🙂
Oh, and I heard about Diamond Glaze! I used Glossy Accents (also from Ranger) to get the epoxy finish. Super-fun.
And I’m really glad you like the gifts! *hugs*
Wow. Such creativity. Thanks for sharing what others have done plus the amazing things you do.
Can you share what the tag is on in the picture? Is it a baby toy ring stack? I would love to know more about it and if there is a pattern? Thanks!
I love finding some time during the day to sit down and look at all the goodies you are working on. Thanks for sharing.
What a darling project!
Love all the layers, textures and patterns:)
Have a great weekend,
