Announcing Heather Bailey Felt

This photo could seriously be a poster.  I may have to print it out
onto canvas and hang it over my couch. Oh the many uses of felt.

If you haven't stopped by my shop for a while, you may want to take a look through the all-new Designer Felt section.
I know how hard it can be to find high-quality felt in good colors.
Most chains only carry the nasty, polyester variety or a handful of
muddy colors in wool-blend. I needed a source for great felt and
figured you must need a source as well.

Packaged2

I'll be stocking a custom palette of over 3 dozen wool-blend and
bamboo felts at the Heather Bailey Store.  I love to embellish projects
with felt flowers or use felt to make pincushions and ornaments. These
are the felts I use for the leaves & stems in my Fresh Picked
Pincushions
, in La Fleur Debris scrap flowers and in
several upcoming patterns (getting so close now!).

I
recommend stocking up on a variety of colors & neutrals to have on
hand — like a box of crayons.  You'll be surprised how many flowers,
leaves, stems & whatnots you can make from a small stack of felt.

We'll be changing out the colors occasionally, so check back often to
see if there is anything new.  Did I mention how excited I am about
this felt?  No more hunting.  And they're nice to look at.

  1. I have some winging its way to me right now! Can’t wait to play with it! Plan to make some of your fabulous pin cusions for Christmas gifts!

  2. Heather,
Yeah! Love the colors of your new felt!
I am glad you’re carrying the colors you used for your flowers. No more guess work!
I love the felt bundle idea! You really should sell your felt jelly rolls in your shop.
I would love to buy a few bundles!! 🙂

  3. The colors are so pretty. I hate trying to buy wool felt at the fabric store because the colors are always autumnal. That’s not really my style. I prefer really bright colors.

  4. So cool! It will be nice to have some pretty options! I met you at Material Girls the other day and had you sign my fabric. I’m so excited to stitch that onto my quilt! Thanks for doing that – it was really nice to meet you and see what you’ve got coming up. Your sketches were amazing! I’m really excited to make Heather Mueller’s cover quilt on her Stop, Drop and Roll book using your Pop Garden fabric.

  5. Yay!!! After watching the flower tutorial, I went in search of felt on the weekend. You were right… it’s hard to find good stuff. At least I presume so, I didn’t actually find any nice ones, had to settle with black and white. I think I can play with them, but really need to get some pinks and greens and yellows… Very excited!

  6. Oooh how pretty 🙂 I’ve been away from your blog a while, but when my inspiration runs low, I come here to revive it. You’ve come through again.
That photo would love absolutely fabulous in my craft room. Any chance of selling a print or a few?

  7. are these lovely felts free of polyester and other synthetics?? if so, I will be in heaven!! I am just concerned about the word “blend” when used in “wool blend ” thank you!

  8. These are lovely, but I wish there was a quick way of ordering one in each available colour, rather than doing them all individually. Any chance you might do packs of them to mimic the egg rolls you have so beautifully photographed for those of us who are a little lazy!

  9. Does anyone know how much shipping is if you buy only a handful of sheets, like maybe 5 or 6? I hate to pay almost as much for shipping as for the product, and sometimes you don’t know until you go through hte whole buying process. I like to know up front!
    thanks

  10. Brilliant! What a great read. That was a good post – informative but not too heavy. Thanks for taking the time out to write it! I think spirituality is really important too, we certainly agree on that point. A leader without spirituality is missing a key element.
