Saturday Fun

Buttonshb_1

Ay, they’re calling to me: paint, thread, buttons, hooks, hexagons.

Every once in a while I ruffle through my button drawers to tide me over until it’s time to sew again.  It’s like popping one of these to fix a sugar craving instead of attacking a batch of cookies. It works for a while.

But, now that I’ve straightened up the laundry room, mopped the floor and made space in the studio, I’m off to make something — not sure what yet.  I just hope Charlotte’s nap lasts a while today.

  1. I hope your daughter slept long enough for you to accomplish something wonderful….of course, we’ll want to see what ever it is you’re throwing together. 🙂

  2. those buttons are gorgeous and scrumptious! And I know just what you mean… sometimes, when I know I don’t have time to craft, just sorting through my fabrics for a while will hold me over.
I must say though, is everything in your world so beautiful? Or is it just your extremely excellent photography? Either way, I can’t help but be a bit jealous 😉

  3. Heather,
You take awesome photos. What brand and color spray paint did you use on your green drawers? It is a beautiful shade! The perfect backdrop for your botton collection.
    Thanks.
    Blessings,

I likely don’t have anywhere near the level of buttons that you do, but I also enjoy sifting through what I have, it gives me a little-girl-with-a-treasure-box feeling again 🙂

  6. I’m a quilter, and you have given me a reason to start collecting pretty buttons! They would make a lovely textural addition to a quilt….

  7. Buttons make my heart sing. I just color coordinated mine recently. Not because It helps me feel organized but now my button jars look like candy jars!
