So, guess what popped up on Martha Stewart’s show this week… my fabric. Pretty cool.
The CEO of SVP (Singer Viking Pfaff, I think) Sewing Machines gave Martha an apron made from my groovy floral fabric (to the right) and my crest design (in this strawberry photo). I was on the road to L.A. when it aired, but thanks to several early-morning emails from the East coast, I had it recorded. They didn’t mention my name or anything, so it’s really not such a big deal. Just a bit fun.
Of course, if I had posted about this yesterday, you could have seen the video on Martha’s site, but it looks like it got bumped today. Ah well, April 3rd was a whole three days ago, after all.
Update: The video does still exist. Here’s the link. It’s the segment called, "Sewing Machines."
Another Update: This just in… Jay Leno’s doing a spoof on the Martha Stewart apron segment on The Tonight Show this evening (Monday, April 9th). If you’re on the west coast, you should still be able to catch it.
One More: The Jay Leno bit was a hoot. They digitally swapped out the apron’s print for a woman’s silhouette in lingerie. Can’t find it on YouTube for you, but the whole monologue can be picked up on iTunes.

Yahoo! I saw it, squealed in delight, though the house was empty and managed to frighten my cat. LOVE this sweet chick photo too, Heather.
How wonderful Heather!
Most likely Martha will be emailed to know where that FABULOUS fabric came from. :o)
I LOVE, LOVE that fabric and as soon as I sell a couple more handbags guess which fabric will be happily folded on my fabric shelf?
That particular piece of fabric is soooo wonderful because it looks like it is several different fabrics and I LOVE to mix and match.
You my dear will only climb higher and higher with your gift of color. :o)
Most importantly you have such fun!
Heather!! That is AWESOME!! Who would’ve thunk it!? I agree with Lori, you know what will happen now, people will be emailing her to know about the fabric. I mean, remember what happened when she wore that knit poncho? You go girl!
Yay Heather! I am not at all surprised!
I have some of your crest fabric, it is yummy-licious.

That is great, Heather! I tape Martha, but I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet. I’ll keep an eye out. I predict you will be on her show someday!! For all of those out there that didn’t see it, send in your emails and they will probably put it on the site. They do pay attention to Martha’s fans. I’ve gotten two responses from them.
How cool! Also please pass along the compliment to Issac. I just spent 30 minutes looking at his photos. Quite the photographer you have there!
hi
I can proudly say I saw it on Martha all the way from Sydney Australia and got all excited and said to my nana and mum oh oh oh I have that fabric, its Freshcut by Heather Bailey!!!! It looked wonderful and I think its high praise to be seen on Martha!
Corrie:)
Congratulations! Whether mentioned or not, just having something of yours on Martha’s show is an honor. I don’t think I saw the episode. I record her on DVR, and then go through and delete the ones I know I won’t watch. I’m pretty sure the episode you’re refering to is still on my list though! Can’t wait to see it!
That’s very very cool even if your name wasn’t mentioned! You must feel very proud. And the photo with the ribbons and chick is so cute! Happy Easter! (hope your little one can eat chocolate even with a couple of teeth missing!)
Oh how neat is that?! Next thing you know Target will be selling purses made from your prints. ;o)

I really enjoy reading hellomynameisheather, but only the first few lines show up when I read it using google reader. Would you consider changing your settings so the whole post is sent to feedreaders?
I still think that is really neat!
Hi Heather,
Your fabrics are wonderful. I just made my first lap quilt top using your fabrics. I am going to post picks up on my blog. I absolutely love the colors, the feel and the thickness of the fabric. Thanks for sharing your talents. CONRATRULATIONS on your apron made with your fabrics on her show. Word is spreading!
wonderful!! I wish your fabrics were easier to find in fabric shops but I finally have my hands on that bubbly looking one. congrats!
Big Congrats. So Cool!
Hope you had a great easter to!
That’s pretty cool. Even without the name, it’s cool.
Hello Heather
A funny thing happen. I follow the link to see your pretty fabric at Martha. Later at night, the same segment was shown at Jay Leno. But there was a catch..they substituted your pretty fabric for a fabric that looked like neglige. I prefer your print much better!
I hope to see more of yout stuff on Martha and all over!
Anary
Congratulations on the Martha Stewart thing!
The fabic is gorgeous. Congratulations! Everyone who saw that episode will be contacting OMNI Media to find out about where they can acquire the fabric. I don’t even know how to sew and I would love to have a bolt of it.
I made something with your fabric the DAY it came in the mail!!!
