Hello Neighbor, Might I Borrow a Cup of Whales?

Oh my, Isaac erased my inbox on accident and it took a couple of
days for him to restore what he could.  Still missing much of September
and that last part of August.  So… if you’re waiting to hear from me
on something or other, I might just be in the dark a bit on your
request or inquiry.  Please resend?

Haven’t been on the computer much this week, hence the lack of
posts.  I have a big deadline to meet on Thursday.  We have been
watching the first season of Heroes on dvd though while we work.  Wow!
good show.  But, you have to watch it from the beginning as there are a
gazillion characters and I’m not sure you could pop in and pick up on
the story line very easily.  Easy to follow if you watch from the
beginning though.

Let’s see, what’s my tricky, one-line review…  A pound of
Unbreakable, two cups of Superman, one teaspoon of 24, and a dash of
The Matrix, creamed together and spread on a healthy slice of humor.

Food on my mind.  So hungry waiting for Isaac to finish up dinner.
I keep popping in the kitchen and nibbling.  Told Charlotte I could eat
a whale.  Her response — "But we don’t have any whales!"

  1. And I thought I was the only one who knew about “Unbreakable”. Good movie! I picked up more of your gorgeous fabric and can’t wait to put it to good use.
Any word on the adorable pear pincushion pattern? Waiting, waiting, waiting, I love that project.

  2. Ooh I haven’t seen Unbreakable yet, love M. Night Shyamalans movies. I remember seeing the ad for Unbreakable and wanting to see it and then forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

  3. Good morning! I discovered your blog through Anna Wight’s blog. Wow!!! I love your fabric designs! It seams I am a year behind…woops..I am now trying to find your fabric. I am in love. I haven’t done any sewing in almost a year and your fabric has made me want to put down my paper and pick up some fabric.
Can you please let me know where I can purchase your beautiful fabric?
    Thanks,
    Mary

  4. For the love of Heroes. I don’t go for shows like that, but i am hooked. I love that it leaves you hanging, just waiting for more.
I started keepng a notebook for each of my kids with all the fun and strange things they say in them. It is so much fun to look back on.

  5. Heroes is such a great show. Great viewing as are the others you mentioned. Gotta love Netflix!!!
Love all your posts they are great!

  6. I have watched Heroes from the beginning as well. If you like Superman, then I suggest you get into Smallville. FROM THE BEGINNING! It’s not much, you’re only seven seasons away. =)

  7. Our family was on vacation at Disneyland this summer and we saw a man with a t-shirt that said “Save the Cheerleader….” I turned to my husband and squealed “I want that shirt!!!”. Yep, I’m a big Heroes geek.

  8. I’m going to have to chime in about Heroes as well. I love that show & am hearing more & more people talk about it. I am also a big fan of Unbreakable, but unfortunently, it seems most people haven’t heard of it.
My husband would love Heroes, but he’s only seen a few random episodes and didn’t want to have another show to keep up with. He mentioned that there were too many characters too, so I guess he just needs to see it from the start to get hooked, if I can get him to!

  9. “But we don’t have any whales!”–Adorable!
I’m addicted to Heroes as well! (And The Office, too!) Halfway through the first season I thought, ‘what in the world could be left after they save the cheerleader?’ Trust me, there’s plenty and I’m not going to miss a beat of it! (I wasn’t always this way 😉 heehee)

  10. Heather – just popping in on Delurk Day to say, wow, I love your blog! It’s so inspiring to see what you’ve been up to, and I absolutely love how well done your photos are. My shots tend to look like I took them with a pinhole camera made out of an oatmeal box, with tons of cat hair and power lines in the background.
If you’re wondering about Delurk Day, I’m not the originator, just a proud participant. It’s killing me to leave 400 comments on all the blogs I read, but that’s the price I have to pay. Anyway, you can check out http://mind-flush.blogspot.com for more info on Delurk Day, if you’re interested.
Keep up the good work – and I can’t wait to see what Trash Ties are like!

  11. I’m seriously in love with Heroes though there was a certain gross out factor at the end of Monday’s show. (ok, so I hid my eyes until my husband told me it was alright to look — let’s just say his definition and mine of “ok to look” is a bit different)
